Extra thick white asparagus is a particularly thick and flavorful variety that differs from other varieties by its size and texture. To enjoy extra thick white asparagus to the fullest, it is advisable to cook them carefully and over low heat, so that they maintain their characteristic flavor and texture. They can be cooked in water with a little salt, or steamed, for about 10-15 minutes depending on the size.
